Our journey began with a simple question: Why should exceptional craftsmanship rely on materials that leave a lasting environmental cost? Instead of following tradition, we chose to redefine it.
For generations, luxury has been built on an unspoken trade-off beauty and status on one side, environmental and ethical cost on the other. We refused to accept that this was the only way forward. We believed it was possible to create something extraordinary without asking the planet, or the people who make it, to pay the price.
Morèl exists to show that doing better and creating beautifully are not mutually exclusive, they're the same pursuit.
A Material Inspired by Nature
Inspired by the quiet resilience of the morel mushroom, we discovered a material that grows rather than grazes. Nature has always found ways to build strength without excess, and we wanted our materials to reflect that same wisdom. Our signature mycelium leather captures the richness, texture, and durability of premium leather while using significantly fewer natural resources and requiring no animal hides, proof that innovation can honour tradition instead of replacing it.
